Christmas is a time that puts a strain on so many who bear the obligations of hosting and entertaining. Whilst so many of us have good intention to find new ideas, inspiration and menus, it can be so easy to settle for the previous year’s tried and tested menus. Sounds familiar?
Now that we are all more aware of our neighbours on the other side of the Channel and familiar with their festive treats, we add a slice of Continental sparkle as we celebrate a pinch of German, Italian and French Christmas customs, folklore and superstitions including some of their more unusual delicacies.
This workshop is designed to give you ideas and inspiration for the festive season. We unfold a spectrum of dishes from easy but posh amuse bouche, side dishes and gourmet central European classics. Host, Francesco will also give you guidance how to prepare for the season and adding resilience to food and why on the day it so important to leave your house for an hour.
On this workshop we cover a flavour of traditional German knödel with a kick of mushroom and garlic, a delicate hazelnut, shitake Jerusalem artichoke terrine, The classic Panetone infused with citrus peels, ravioli in white wine cream and coffee, a pate with a difference, Regal aubergines en jus and white polenta and pecorino canapé
Places are restricted and this is one off season special.
